Polyethylene
HDPE or LDPE: high or low density
Polyethylene density is linked to its structure and performance. We help you choose the one that fits your product.
HDPE
High density
Over 0.940 g/cm³. It has almost no branching, which makes it much stronger than LDPE. Common uses: produce bags, cereal box liners and household and industrial packaging.
LDPE
Low density
From 0.910 to 0.940 g/cm³. Its structure has a lot of branching. Common uses: bread bags, sandwich bags and trash bags.

In addition to high and low density polyethylene, we manufacture films for specific needs.
Fits with heat
Heat shrink film
During manufacturing it is stretched near its softening point and cooled to set that orientation. With heat, it shrinks and wraps the product tightly.

How we make your rolls
We make the film in our own plant by blown film extrusion, one of the most common film manufacturing methods.

Extrusion
Molten plastic exits through a circular die and forms a thin-walled tube.

Bubble
Air enters through the center of the die and inflates the tube like a balloon. An air ring cools it as it rises up the tower. The bubble air, extruder output and haul-off speed control the width and thickness.

Winding
At the top, rollers flatten the tube and the film comes down over more rollers. It is wound as a tube or slit at the edges into two sheets.
Formats
Tubular, flat or folded
We deliver the roll in the format that best suits your process and your industry.
Tubular
The film exits the extruder as a tube and is wound flat. To make bags, you just seal across the width and cut or perforate.
Flat
The tube is slit at the edges, leaving single sheets that are wound separately.
Folded style
Film roll in folded format. Tell us about your process and we will tell you if it suits you.

Options
Bags with wicket, perforation or ziplock
Wicketed bags: in bakeries, the machine opens each bag with air and pulls it off the wicket over the bread. With perforation, each bag tears off the roll. With ziplock, it opens and closes again.
